Sergei Mironov believes that, despite the relaxation of restrictions by the government, the restaurant business is facing a wave of bankruptcy and closures.

Despite the existing statistics on restaurant closures in Moscow, which may please someone, Sergey Mironov drew the attention of the conference audience to the fact that, summing up the same statistics, many forget how many restaurants have changed their owners and how many live out the last days, and then inevitably close. "Some restaurants went to landlords, some live simply in debt," the restaurateur explained.
According to him, more accurate data on the closure of restaurants will appear only in a few months, but for now we can only guess about the real losses.
"Most colleagues, with few exceptions, are now on the verge of bankruptcy and ruin. They are burdened with loans, both public and private. And these loans are physically nothing to give to them. Many still have not paid taxes, and will not pay. At the same time, responsibilities to employees, suppliers are preserved..., "said Sergey Mironov.
The restaurateur said that the external picture does not give an accurate idea of what is really happening in the restaurant business.
He also said that he did not notice a special upward trend: "Yes, the market is slowly normalizing, guests appear. We are returning to last year's figures. But all this happens very slowly. In addition, restrictions still remain. "
According to Sergei Mironov, comparing the situation in Moscow and the regions does not make any sense: "Moscow is not an indicator at all. Moscow has more money, more investors. In the regions, the picture is generally terrible. Metropolitan restaurants did not work for only some 3 months, while individual regions - much longer. Accordingly, they will need more time to recover. "
