Restaurants have revealed plans for the New Year
How the capital's establishments are going to entertain guests on a festive night

Muscovites are actively booking tables in restaurants on December 31. The booking rate is already 70-90%, as told in the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers. Moreover, the owners of Moscow establishments themselves are not very afraid of additional restrictions during the New Year holidays, unlike market players in the regions.

Kommersant FM talked to representatives of the restaurant business of the capital and asked about their plans for December 31:

Sergey Mironov, founder of Meat & Fish restaurants: "All the tables were dismantled back in November. There is no need to pay for a ticket or for admission, just make a deposit at the table. There will be no popular artists in our restaurant on New Year's Eve, but a musical program is planned. We will have regular guests who want to celebrate the New Year in their favorite restaurant."

Daria Belyaeva, manager of White Rabbit restaurants: "We plan to work in the New Year, as they say, until the last guest. The program will start at 22:00 and end at 5:00. In 2021, we did not invent anything supernatural. Among the invited musical groups are "Rondo" and "Moral Code". As for the strengthening of restrictions, I don't think they will be introduced in the near future."

Andrey Fedorin, restaurateur, co-owner of the restaurant "Marie Vanna": "I propose a humane solution to the issue on December 31 — to let the restaurant staff go home at 22.00-23.00. We make a special offer: delivery of ready meals for the New Year's table, for example salad "Olivier"."

In 2021, Muscovites are ready to spend from 10 thousand rubles to 60 thousand rubles on New Year's dinners, Vadim Prasov, vice-president of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers, emphasizes: "The demand for New Year's Eve in the restaurant is quite high. Many residents of the capital want to celebrate the holiday in an institution, not at home. The load is from December 31 to January 1 - from 70% to 90%. Then everything will depend on how many guests will arrive. Muscovites are unlikely to be very active in terms of visiting restaurants, because many will still go out of town.

The price segment is very diverse. I have seen offers for both 10 thousand rubles and 60 thousand rubles. There is a demand for both. It all depends on the institution, on the program, on the alcohol limit or lack thereof. Preferences in cuisine - with respect to traditions — for many it is still "Olivier" and "Herring under a fur coat"."

On New Year's Eve from 2020 to 2021, the capital's restaurants and bars did not receive guests after 11 pm and until 6 am.
