The Ombudsman of the Moscow restaurant business announced a shortage of meat and fish

Sergey Mironov, Vice-president of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia, Ombudsman of the Moscow restaurant business, told the NSN press center about the reasons for the increase in prices for meat and fish in the capital's restaurants.

"First of all, there is an increase in prices for products that have disappeared. Let's say an octopus has disappeared. The price has doubled, most restaurants just take it off the menu. All imports have risen in price - vegetables and fruits. The price of meat, of marbled meat, has suddenly crept up, it's still steaks, there are also problems with this. The reason is absolutely clear - Australia and America are closed, anti-sanctions, supplies from Uruguay and Argentina have been suspended by Rospotrebnadzor, because something was found in their meat there. There is only a Russian meat producer left, and the Russian manufacturer has opened a second wind, they supply marbles to China, there is not enough meat inside the market, its quality is falling. The situation with fish is different, no one wants to do it either. All the fish goes to Asia: WTO, the prices are the same, there are no duties, why do logistics across Russia, it is easier to sell it on a boat to Japan and China, and she leaves," Mironov said.

Earlier, Mironov told the NSN press center about the advantages of the franchise, calling it the main positive trend of the restaurant business in the near future.
