Delivery drawdown

Expert: delivery on non-working days provided only up to 20% of the capacity of restaurants
The public ombudsman in the field of restaurant business in Moscow, Sergey Mironov, pointed out that gastronomic restaurants, with the exception of pizzerias, sushi bars and burgers, lost more from working in the delivery format

MOSCOW, November 8. /tass/. Work on delivery during non-working days in the regions of Russia was able to provide only up to 20% of the usual capacity of gastronomic restaurants. This was announced to TASS on Monday by Sergey Mironov, Vice-president of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers, public ombudsman in the field of restaurant business in Moscow.
"Gastronomic restaurants, with the exception of pizzerias, sushi bars and burgers, have lost more from working in the delivery format. The average delivery was 8-10% of the usual capacity of a working institution. With such indicators, it is, of course, completely unprofitable to keep the restaurant open. Some colleagues managed to make the delivery up to 20%, but this result, in fact, did not give anything - with the restaurant completely closed, they would have saved more money," he said.
According to Mironov, gastronomic restaurants that operated using the QR-code system without closing the halls suffered "much less losses." At the same time, "restaurants will simply not be able to work on the kuars for several months in the long term, and many in this case will most likely decide to close and go bankrupt, simply not seeing prospects for returning to normal life," he added.
Non-working days in Russia lasted from October 30 to November 7. The decision was made to stop the increase in the incidence of covid. Since November 8, the regime has been extended in five Russian regions - Novgorod, Kursk, Smolensk, Tomsk and Chelyabinsk regions.
