: "Economy without miracles": The restaurateur predicted the closure of the cafe after the introduction of QR codes
"Who will go to regional restaurants with QR codes if there are only 35% of those vaccinated?" - restaurateur Sergei Mironov.

With the introduction of mandatory QR codes for visiting catering establishments, only pizzerias will remain afloat, burgers and sushi bars - the rest will be closed. The ombudsman of the Moscow restaurant business, Sergei Mironov, said this in an interview with the Telegram channel "Radiotochka NSN".
Earlier in the media it was reported that Russia is developing draft laws on mandatory QR codes for travel by transport, visiting catering establishments and shops. At the same time, Mironov said that at the moment restaurants will not be able to operate in the QR code mode.
“This measure has been introduced in a number of regions. Cafes that prepare pizza, sushi, burgers work with QR codes. An average restaurant cannot work like that. For example, in the regions, only 35% are vaccinated. And how many guests will the restaurant have? Not more than this 35% percent. And in fact, even less, because these people have unvaccinated wives and friends. And if they don’t go to the restaurant, then the vaccinated don’t go with them, ”said the restaurateur.
According to the ombudsman, all average restaurants in the regions are empty.
Mironov noted that it is not yet clear whether the introduction of QR codes is better than the termination of the work of catering establishments. At the same time, he believes that such a situation will still lead to the closure of restaurants and cafes.

“Only cafes that prepare pizza, sushi, burgers - whatever is to be delivered, can cope with such a situation. The rest are not. This is the economy - there are no miracles here. If we understand that part of the population will not be able to go to a restaurant, it will simply close. There should be global state support here, ”concluded the Ombudsman of the Moscow restaurant business Sergei Mironov.
Earlier, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that it would be possible to completely cancel QR codes in Russia only after the end of the pandemic.
TV presenter and sports commentator Georgy Cherdantsev, in an interview with the Radiotochka NSN Telegram channel, noted that in developed countries the QR code has become an integral part of life.
