interesting and delicious

Restaurateur Sergey Mironov commented on the choice of dishes for a joint lunch of Russian and French Presidents Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron, reports "Moscow 24".

According to him, Russian and European cuisines were combined in the menu. "Interesting menu. <...> Venison, sturgeon, soaked apples are offered. This menu turned out to be mixed, it seems to me that it is quite tasty," the restaurateur noted.

He drew attention to the fact that the choice of dishes and the combination of products were not accidental – a balance was observed in almost all positions. For example, soaked apples were served with langoustines, and venison - with sweet potatoes and blackberries. Thus, the cuisines of the two countries organically complemented each other.

Mironov also spoke about the choice of alcohol. He said that the presidents were served Russian wine. "This is a white sparkling wine made on the basis of Pinot noir grapes. An interesting wine, it was produced in Divnomorskoye. We have a trend for Russian wines now. I think it was specially chosen for this event," the expert said.

For dessert, Putin and Macron cooked ginger sherbet. Mironov considers it suitable for finishing lunch or dinner, as this dish helps to digest the food eaten.

The talks of the heads of state were held on February 7. They lasted more than five hours.
